A Waterfall Walk In Spring

s

Green once laying dormant now wakes from slumber
Naked trees soon bud, bare bark still shows
Paths of leaves split the mountain asunder
Mossy rocks and stumps lay far past where the trail head goes

A fallen tree that once gave the forest beings shade
Wreathes roots up in the air, towards the heavens up high
Frozen in time she slowly fades
And makes room nature’s new births to be nigh

At first a trickle, then slowly a roar
Echoes through the chambers of the mountain floors
Emerging radiant, sparkling, and white
The milk of the mountains flows with delight
